Clubs & Activities

CSI

The goal of Cool Science Investigators (CSI) is to enhance the positive experiences fourth and fifth graders have with science learning.

Husky Book of the Month Club

This club is for third through fifth graders who like to read and want to read different types of books, or who are trying to read more. Students read the book at home with their family and then meet at school to talk about it and have fun!

Hustlin' Huskies Running Club

Running Club is an excellent opportunity for third through fifth graders to exercise, socialize and have fun! We celebrate the end of Running Club by running in the annual Jared Coones Memorial Pumpkin 5K Run / Walk in October. This is optional, but we encourage families to join us for the event that raises funds for research and organizations that support cancer patients and their families.

Math Wings

The purpose of our Math Wings after-school club is to provide an opportunity for all fourth and fifth grade students to learn important content and skills beyond what is provided in the classroom, and to promote the mindset that all children can learn math. Our focus is to enrich the learning for motivated, high-achieving math students and encourage all students to see that they, too, can be high-achieving math students.

Stuco

Student Council is a leadership opportunity open to fifth grade students who want to make a positive impact at Heatherstone. Student Council helps plan school spirit days, organize service projects, and share ideas to improve our school community. Being part of Student Council is a great way for students to build leadership skills, work as a team, and have a voice in what happens at school.
